Faith Education in Warrandyte
Our worship is characteristic of Warrandyte - it involves our community from youngest to oldest with traditional and contemporary readings, prayer, music and drama.
We do this to recognise and celebrate God's love for all people through weekly community worship which accepts our different gifts and nurtures our community of faith.
Our Worship Group assists our Minister in planning our weekly worship, seeks to involve our faith community members in a variety of worship opportunities, and ensures that the necessary resources are available.
We welcome all visitors, enquirers, new members as well as old, to our 10:15am Sunday weekly worship, followed by tea and friendship.
As a Christian community within the Uniting Church, our members seek to better discern our community and individual roles in God's world through study and understanding of the Bible, through prayer and through teaching.
Our Adult Faith Education activities include:
- a fortnightly daytime Bible Study group
- a monthly evening book discussion group
- a variety of visiting speakers
Faith Education for our young people includes Sunday activities for children in the pre-school to young teen age range. Sunday activities are led by a creative and devoted teaching team. Typically, children join in worship for the first 15 minutes before moving to their own Sunday activities. Visiting children are always catered for in Sunday activities.
